Committee Charge
One of the first actions of the committee, after it was formed, was to define its charge as follows:
Investigate the opportunities offered by today's advanced technologies to education. Recommend a course of action to the President of MIT. The specific technologies to be considered include, but are not restricted to, the following:
- The Internet
- The World Wide Web
- CD-ROMs
- Hypertext
- Hypermedia
- Multimedia
- Personal portable communication
- Personal portable computation
- Interactive television
